Conflict and Resolution

In the novel Kit's Wilderness, Askew took Kit down to the pits where all the ghosts of their ancestors were and Askew made Kit squint hard and see if he could see the ghosts of the children that lived there. When he did, Askew explained that Kit was half dead and half alive and that they were going to play the game called "Death." He told Kit that these ghosts were ghosts of Watsons, Askews, and Silkys from a thousand, thousand years back and he screams and jumps about like a wild animal. After a while, Kit tells the story of Lak's journey to find his missing family in some way like a dream and he saw Silky run and flicker into him and became his grandpa who held him and told him it'd be okay and through the telling of the story, Kit got Askew to come out with him and become a changed person and although he steadily improving, Askew, Allie, and Kit became good friends.
